Samsung Galaxy Y appears in Taiwan Samsung Taiwan has officially announced the Galaxy Y, which previously appeared in Japan. It is a smartphone with a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.

December 9, 2013 – In addition to a five-inch Full HD AMOLED display and Android 4.3, the Samsung Galaxy Y has a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera (4K Ultra HD Video Recorder), a 1.9 front camera, 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

also supports device known Galaxy software such as S Translator (automatic translation), a Parents Mode (which parents use restrictions for their children set), an energy-saving mode and Samsung KNOX (security software).

The Galaxy Y comes in white, pink or blue. There is no word yet on a possible release in Europe.
