Review: Galaxy S4 Mini delivers little in - NU.nl

With the limited size (4.3 instead of 4.99 inches), the Mini something manageable and especially attractive to people who do not want big screen. They are now often rely on the lesser or older devices.

also see the device exactly the same as the Galaxy S4. A recognizable design that also appeals to many people. In addition, the S4 completely made of plastic mini feels as solid as his big brother. The phone is 107 grams with about 18 percent lighter than the original S4.

Screen

resolution is anything but impressive. 960 x 540 pixels, the pixel density of 256 pixels by per inch (ppi). However, the display uses a different technology than many other devices allowing more sub-pixels are displayed and the final sharpness is fine.

Performance

S4 Mini uses a 1.7 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor 400. The current top models are equipped with quad-core chips that can potentially divide. Heavier tasks better The 1.5 GB of memory is important. The more expensive phones have 2GB of RAM.

terms of specifications, it is quite a step back, but the S4 Mini is anything but slow. The daily tasks, the device can easily and own a graphics-heavy game like Asphalt 7 is not a problem. However, a disadvantage is the limited 8GB of storage. An SD card also offers the solution.

Battery and camera

The battery is really the only major flaw of the S4 Mini. Especially in the standby mode, the Mini relatively quickly. With heavy use the phone up to twelve o’clock along. That’s not impressive achievement, but lesser brightness extends the battery life only marginally because the phone is soon hot.
