'Samsung Galaxy S5 with 64bit processor Exynos 6' - Techzine (Blog)

The new flagship of Samsung, the Galaxy S5, will almost certainly run on a 64bit processor Exynos 6, consisting of eight cores. This Samsung will walk the same path as Apple did with its A7 chipset.

According to a report in the Korean technology site Digital Daily , Samsung would work on a 14nm Exynos 6 64bit processor . This 6 Exynos processor will be equipped with ARM’s big.LITTLE octacore configuration with the Cortex A53 and A57 cores. This power consumption will be lower half, compared to the Exynos 5 Octa-chip that is placed in some copies of the Galaxy S4.

Before the end of this year will be the first test specimens are produced. Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S5 the first smartphone in which the 64bit 6 Exynos processor will be applied.
